Mini-PCIe video capture modules added to the portfolio - 24/07/2017
BVM has concluded a partnership agreement with Yuan, the leading Taiwanese manufacturer of high-quality video and audio products in PCIe, Mini-PCIe and M.2 configurations. Yuan is vertically integrated, providing complete packages of the Hardware, Driver, Firmware, FPGA and SDK for all its products. Following the agreement, BVM are initially offering the SC5C0N1 Series of H.264 Mini-PCIe video capture modules. Typical applications include factory automation, intelligent component and PCB visual inspection, mobile imaging, security surveillance and video conferencing.
Four versions, supporting HDMI, DVI, SDI and component video are available. All cater for various options of video input and output; colour formats YV12, NV12, YUY2, RGB24 and RGB32 are supported. The on-board H.264 hardware compression minimises system resource requirements and allows full resolution to be achieved over a single PCIe x1 lane. The modules are physically based on the standard PCIe Mini-cards format 30 x 59.95 mm cards.
They are compatible with full HD video up to 1024P at 50 FPS and offer a variety of outputs to suit specific requirements. The modules are compatible with both 32 bit and 64 bit Windows XP upwards and Linux 2.6.14 and higher. The Yuan modules can interface with many BVM SBCs, which are typically fitted with one or two PCIe slots and are available in a variety of form factors to suit specific applications and space constraints.
