Our client is a prominent UK-based organisation operating across the traffic management and parking industry. With numerous active sites throughout the country, they provide critical infrastructure and services that facilitate smoother urban mobility and efficient parking operations.
Customer Requirements
The customer approached BVM in search of a long-term, reliable computing solution. They needed a rugged Panel PC system that would remain available and fully supported for several years. Their top priorities were hardware stability, supply longevity, and a partnership with a supplier who could provide consistent technical support and configuration services.
The Challenge
The customer was facing recurring issues with hardware reliability and sudden product obsolescence, which disrupted their deployments and maintenance schedules. The solution not only had to be competitively priced but also rugged enough to endure continuous public interaction and the demanding conditions of outdoor or semi-exposed environments. Build quality and ease of deployment were essential.
The BVM Solution
After a detailed consultation and evaluation process, BVM, in collaboration with our OEM partner IEI, delivered an industrial-grade Panel PC tailored to the customer’s needs. This highly rugged system was built to handle harsh usage and ensured long-term availability.
Each unit was configured in-house at BVM’s Southampton facility, where RAM and storage were installed, and thorough testing was performed. The customer’s custom Windows image was pre-installed prior to dispatch, streamlining deployment and reducing configuration time on-site.
The Outcome
The new Panel PC systems are now being rolled out across multiple UK locations. With a robust and futureproof solution in place, the customer has dramatically reduced downtime and maintenance headaches. They now have the confidence to expand operations and concentrate on growing their market share, knowing their IT infrastructure is secure and scalable.
