BVM can provide marine based solutions in a number of formats (Panel PC, System PC and Display only) to meet the challenging conditions provided by the sea or coastal installations. This just doesn’t apply to the expected environmental conditions such as the extremes of temperature (and weather in general) – but also the challenges presented around vibration and changing lighting conditions to ensure information can be seen & viewed at any time of the day without ambiguity – be it in the engine room or the bridge of the ship.
The solutions BVM supply are compliant with marine standards DNV 2.4, IEC60945 and IACS-E10.

Marine Panel PCs
Rugged and Waterproof Marine Panel PCs. Durable and Fanless Touchscreen Panel PCs aimed at maritime professionals and found in dock, deck, the bridge and control rooms, the touchscreen of a marine Panel PC is protected from any stray electrical signals on ships. Users can also control back light brightness from 0% to 100% by PCAP OSD button control.
Marine Embedded PCs are reliable, rugged and highly rated for their waterproof, durable and fanless designs, ideal for use within harsh environments. Aimed at maritime professionals and found in the dock, on the deck, the bridge and control rooms, Marine Embedded PC Systems are protected from water, dust and any stray electrical signals making them perfect for use on ships.
15 – 26″ Touchscreen Marine Displays are built and tested according to DNV Standard Certification, IEC60945, and IACS-E10 for maritime applications. Colour calibrated for ECDIS compliance, dimming brightness, projective capacitive multi-touch screen, capacitive touch keys, and broad voltage range power input 9-36 V DC acceptable.

Our production team are highly motivated with a flexible “can do” attitude ensuring consistent quality and on-time delivery.
Whether we’re designing a bespoke printed circuit board or a complete embedded system PC assembly, our ‘Design to Order’ process encompasses us producing prototypes for mechanical, electrical and thermal verification of the design. Additionally, environmental/extended temperature testing, EMC testing and functional tests (with your application software on board) are all part of the services that BVM provide in a products design so discrepancies can be identified & improved upon before your product is released for manufacture & marketing.
Our ‘Build to Order’ services are provided so our customers can concentrate on other immediate business needs. We only select components from reliable sources with long life time availability to ensure your product stays in production for its required life cycle – and remains on budget. Our procurement and production management team will provide you the advice and experience that you’ll need.
It’s relatively straightforward to get up and running with an embedded O/S, but to obtain a robust, optimised and secure operating system – a deeper understanding is required. Our own processes are proven – and we can provide you with guidance on how an implementation should be configured with consideration to the implications of using flash storage, write filters, resilience to attack and system recovery procedures.
