Our client, a distinguished independent service provider with over 40 years of experience, serves blue-chip customers across various market sectors. Headquartered in the UK, with regional offices in Perth, Singapore, and Nigeria, the client specializes in fuel management systems for ocean-going vessels. Their solutions are deployed on over 300 vessels worldwide, emphasizing engineering excellence, energy efficiency, and a strong commitment to carbon reduction.
The Customers Challenge
Facing an urgent situation due to the unforeseen obsolescence and lack of EoL notification of their current IPC solution, the client required an immediate replacement for a 15″ marine-certified touchscreen Panel PC to support a refit of 15 ships. The challenge was compounded by the need for rapid identification and qualification of a new supplier capable of delivering a reliable, high-performance Panel PC solution that met stringent marine standards and could be delivered swiftly.
Solution Provided by BVM

We proposed the R15IH3S model, configured to meet the client’s specific requirements:
- 15″ 1024 x 768 TFT with pre-integrated pCAP touchscreen for seamless user interaction.
- Intel 5th Generation Core i5-5350U @ 2.20GHz to ensure robust and efficient performance.
- Edge-to-edge narrow bezel design and fanless cooling system for silent and maintenance-free operation.
- On-screen keyboard for enhanced functionality and display control.
- Compliance with industrial marine standards IEC60945 4th Edition, DNVGL-CG-0339, and IACS E10.
- Custom configuration and deployment of Windows 10 IoT LTSC 2019 Enterprise operating system.
Outcome
BVM quickly supplied a sample unit of the R15IH3S Panel PC for client evaluation. Following a rapid and successful approval process, we delivered 15 additional units for immediate deployment, aligning with the client’s installation schedule. BVM remains committed to supporting the Winmate R15IH3S throughout its 5 to 7-year lifespan, ensuring long-term reliability for the client.
