Description
The POC-465AWP from Neousys Technology forms part of new computing solutions from Neousys – which adds to their capable fanless range of computing solutions. Featuring IP65 ingress protection and based on Intel® Elkhart Lake Atom processors, the acronym ‘AWP’ indicates affordable, waterproof and protected embedded PC solutions. In short, the POC-465AWP is designed to solve every day internal & external environmental challenges.
With IP65 waterproof protection in a stainless steel and aluminium chassis, the air-tight system prevents internal PCBA corrosion in moisture present (or humid) environments. The hermetic enclosure can be deployed into grimy or dusty air-polluted environments such as a farming or mining without compromise to operational performance. The system also features -25°C to 70°C wide operating temperature capability, supported via an efficient heat dissipation design to minimise thermal throttling.
Connection-wise, POC-465AWP comes with M12 connectors to ensure consistent connectivity where shock and vibration can be present. The system has 2 x 2.5G Ethernet ports, 1 x isolated RS-232 and 1 x isolated RS-422/485. The isolated design protects the motherboard from voltage spikes that can potentially damage internal components. The POC-465AWP also has 1 x VGA, 2 x USB2.0 and M.2 M key to support SATA SSD – and a mini-PCIe interface for WiFi/ LTE, CANbus and numerous other needed add on features.
Combining IP65, M12 and a thermal efficient design, the POC-465AWP is reliable and highly tolerant to challenging conditions to meet tough application conditions head on. Its ultra-compact size fits easily into confined spaces and with its waterproof capabilities, the PC is suitable for outdoor applications such as wildfire detection or internal harsh environments such as process control for food & beverage manufacturing and pharmaceutical processing.
