Design Requirements

• Re-design of prototype so it conformed to ‘design for manufacture’ best practices making production ready.
• Integration of customers Smart Li-Ion ‘hot swap’ battery backs to enable remote working for sustainable 8 hour periods
• Integration of active couplers & bond probes – consisting of re-design of the bond probes to ensure they were manufacturable in relation to routing of internal wiring.
• Overall light weight solution (no more than 7kgs/15lbs) to make it portable

The portable system is deployed for measuring resistance on aircraft & large structures such as wind turbines or infrastructure at risk from lightning strikes – testing bond resistance between structural elements and loop resistance and integrity of cable shields and bonding straps.

For those customers looking for a ruggedized PC solution, robust in its design whilst still remaining light in weight for portability, BVM offer our Peli Case PC  design and manufacturing services to provide a ‘system in a case’. Over the many years that BVM have been providing these services, we’ve found no one design is the same as another, so the service we provide for this area of embedded PC design really is specialist and tailored to your exact needs & application.

Unfortunately, these services are not provided to cater for ‘one off’ requirements. They commence with you providing us with a requirement specification around what you need, which will lead onto further technical & commercial discussions and the mutual development of a prototype for you test & sign off against – leading on to the eventual provision of production units.
