ASRock iEP-5010G Series Industrial IoT Controller
ASRock Industrial have introduced the new iEP-5010G Series Industrial IoT Controller, equipped with upgraded Intel Atom x6000E Processors (Elkhart Lake-PU).
This device boasts a fanless and rugged design, making it suitable for use in harsh industrial environments with a wide operating temperature range of -40~70 °C and 6-36VDC broad range power input.
The iEP-5010G Series provides a wide variety of i/o and expansion for connectivity, inclusive of 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5. With real-time TSN, TCC, Intel In-Band ECC support, over-the-air (OTA) updates and remote management, the iEP-5010G Series can collect and process real-time data from a variety of industrial equipment sources and connect edge-to-cloud seamlessly, making the series an ideal solution for Edge Controllers and IoT Gateways for deployment in industrial automation, robotics, AMR, smart retail and transportation in smart cities.
Improved capabilities with Intel’s Atom x6000E Processor (Elkhart Lake-PU Platform)
The iEP-5010G Series Industrial IoT Controller offers three models, namely
- iEP-5010G-010 Basic SKU
- iEP-5010G-011 PoE SKU
- iEP-5010G-012 5LAN SKU
They all feature the latest Intel Atom x6416RE and x6214RE Processors (Elkhart Lake-PU) in a compact size of 58 x 125 x 157 mm (W x D x H). Elkhart Lake provides up to a 1.7x improvement in single-thread performance, up to 1.5x in multi-thread performance, and a 2x improvement in graphics performance compared to previous generations of other Atom processor platforms.
The iEP-5010G Series supports 2 x DDR4 3200MHz SO-DIMM DRAM slots, providing up to 32GB capacity, making it an ideal choice for computer vision processing. Additionally, with In-Band ECC memory support, the iEP-5010G guarantees reliable computing, protecting the system against potential crashes.

To enable connectivity to a wide variety of devices, the series includes :-
- 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1×1
- 2 x USB 2.0
- 4 x DI / 4 x DO
- 1 x HDMI 2.0b
- 1 x VGA
- 1 x Mic in/Line out
- 3 x RS-232/422/485 serial ports
Additionally, the iEP-5010G-012 features 1 x 2.5GbE LAN (Intel i226-IT), 2 x 1GbE LAN (Intel i210-IT) and two optional 1GbE LAN (Intel i210-AT) ports, supporting IEEE 802.3AF PoE (iEP-5010G-011) with TCC and TSN for real-time computing at the edge.
Modular expansion is provided via 1 x M.2 Key E socket (2230) for a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module, 1 x M.2 Key B socket (3042/3052) for a 4G LTE/5G module and 1 x external Nano SIM card slot for a 4G LTE/5G module (WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 RF capabilities are supported via an optional 2 x Wi-Fi antennas, 4G LTE via 3 x antennas and 5G via four antennas), For storage, the iEP-5010G Series includes 1 x M.2 Key M (2280) for NVMe SSD, 1 x SATA3 for 2.5” SSD (iEP-5010G-010 only) and 1 x Micro SD card slot.
Other critical features of the iEP-5010G Series include M2M protocol support, remote management, and over-the-air (OTA) updates for firmware/software/application to facilitate data collection from southbound to northbound.
Designed for Harsh and Challenging Environments
Designed for harsh environments, the iEP-5010G Series Industrial IoT Controllers are fanless and built to withstand challenging conditions. Models offer a wide range of power inputs via a phoenix type connector, providing a 6-36V DC input for iEP-5010G-010/012 and 19-36V for iEP-5010G-011, along with full power protection with OCP, OVP, UVP and 80V Surge Protection.
The series also provides a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 70°C (iEP-5010G010/012) and high shock/vibration resistance to ensure both durability and reliability in challenging environments. To enhance industrial security, the built-in TPM 2.0 sets up a trusted computing platform.
The iEP-5010G series offers various mounting options, including DIN rail and wall mount options to meet a variety of system install requirements.
