Our client is a distinguished independent service provider with over 40 years of experience, serving blue-chip customers across multiple market sectors. Headquartered in the UK, with regional offices in Perth, Singapore, and Nigeria, the client specialises in fuel management systems for ocean-going vessels.
Their solutions are deployed on over 300 vessels worldwide, demonstrating engineering excellence, energy efficiency, and a strong commitment to reducing carbon emissions in maritime operations.
The Customer’s Challenge
The client faced an urgent situation when their existing 15″ marine-certified touchscreen Panel PC solution became obsolete unexpectedly, without prior end-of-life notification. This created an immediate need to source a replacement for a refit program involving 15 ships. The challenge was twofold:
- Rapid supplier identification and qualification: The client needed a new partner capable of delivering a reliable, high-performance marine Panel PC solution that met stringent marine standards.
- Swift deployment: The replacement system had to be delivered quickly to avoid delays in the refit schedule.

- Intel 5th Generation Core i5-5350U @ 2.20GHz for robust and efficient processing performance.
- Edge-to-edge narrow bezel design with a fanless cooling system for silent, maintenance-free operation.
- On-screen keyboard for enhanced functionality and display control.
- Compliance with industrial marine standards including IEC60945 4th Edition, DNVGL-CG-0339, and IACS E10.
- Custom Windows 10 IoT LTSC 2019 Enterprise configuration to support secure, reliable, and tailored operation.
Outcome
BVM rapidly supplied a sample R15IH3S Panel PC for client evaluation. Following a swift and successful approval process, we delivered 15 additional units for immediate deployment, fully aligning with the client’s installation schedule.
