Neousys Unveils NRU-110V: The Advanced Edge AI Computer for Autonomous Systems
Neousys has introduced the NRU-110V series, a fanless industrial system computing solution powered by NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier. The versatile computer is designed to support up to eight GMSL automotive cameras which makes it an essential component for a variety of autonomous applications including autonomous vehicles, autonomous mobile robots (AMR), and tele-operation of unmanned ground vehicles.
The NRU-110V series offers a turnkey solution equipped with on-board GMSL de-serialisers to handle synchronised inputs from automotive cameras. It also comes pre-installed with a board support package (BSP) that includes drivers for selected cameras to facilitate ease of integration & set up.
The support for GMSL cameras means the NRU-110V can unlock powerful vision capabilities. The automotive cameras feature impressive specifications such as IP67 waterproofing, a high dynamic range (>120dB HDR), auto white balance (AWB) and LED flicker mitigation (LFM). This enables the NRU-110V to capture high-quality images under any level of lighting conditions, including bright sunlight, overcast weather and even pitch-black nights. Additionally, the NRU-110V offers a unique synchronisation mechanism that allows for simultaneous image acquisition from all eight GMSL cameras with minimal channel-to-channel skew. It can also accept GPS PPS signals to synchronise image data with other sensors like LIDAR or cameras from different systems.
The NRU-110V goes beyond camera support with the integrations of various i/o interfaces to facilitate interaction with different sensors on autonomous machines. It features a 10Gb Ethernet port for real-time streaming of raw imagery to a powerful GPU computer responsible for perception tasks. The CAN bus interface enables in-vehicle communication while the ability to connect an inertial measurement unit (IMU) allows for localisation and orientation determination.
The NRU-110V also provides additional connectivity options including RS-232, a dedicated GPS PPS input for external GPS modules, a M.2 NVMe slot for storage expansion, mini-PCIe for WiFi/4G module connectivity and isolated DIO for generic controls.
Combining support for up to eight GMSL automotive cameras, impressive TFLOPS inference performance, multiple sensor interfaces and high-speed 10GbE data transmission, the NRU-110V is a rugged and fanless edge AI embedded computer that’s difficult to meet. It’s the perfect solution for AI-based vision applications that require continuous interaction with & assessment of the surrounding environment to meet applications involved with UGV/AMR, ADAS and intelligent V2X.
