Neousys Introduces NRU-120S: The Next-Generation AI-Based Video Analytics Solution

Neousys, has released its latest innovation for the intelligent analysis of video in the form of the NRU-120S series.

The rugged edge AI-based industrial PC solution is designed specifically for video analytics, offering a range of features including video recording, transcoding, and real-time inference. Powered by the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier system-on-module (SOM), the NRU-120S delivers exceptional performance for a range of applications.

At the heart of the NRU-120S is the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier SOM, featuring an 8-core ARM CPU and NVIDIA Volta GPU equipped with 512 CUDA cores and 64 Tensor cores. This combination provides impressive computing power of 11 TFLOPS in FP16 or 22 TOPS in INT8 to enable efficient and accurate video analytics.

Standout features of the NRU-120S includes its low-power design – and despite its remarkable inference performance, the system only consumes 30W of power. This energy efficiency, coupled with its compact form factor, makes the NRU-120S an ideal edge AI solution for both stationary and mobile applications. The system also offers 4 x  802.3at Gigabit Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) ports providing up to 25.5W of power to connected devices – such as IP cameras and industrial cameras.

Generous storage capacity for the NRU-120S is provided by two front-accessible 2.5″ HDD/SSD trays, in addition to the 32GB eMMC on the Xavier module. The PC also features an M.2 2280 NVMe socket, delivering fast SSD read/write performance.

The system includes a mini-PCIe socket for WiFi and 4G module connectivity, as well as a GPS PPS input and isolated digital input/output for communication with external devices.

The NRU-120S combines the power of PoE+ connectivity, NVIDIA AI tools and modern deep learning frameworks to bring real-time image and video inference to the Edge. This all-in-one AI-based video analytics solution offers 802.3at PoE+ camera connections, video decoding, streaming, recording and edge AI inference. And with the Neousys’ innovative damping bracket design, ignition power control – and wide voltage power supply operation – the NRU-120S is the perfect fanless industrial computing solution for video inference in applications such as autonomous machines, predictive maintenance, law enforcement and smart cities.
